LOTRO's final server schedule brings a community-focused overhaul

SSG has revised the endgame schedule for LOTRO's Angmar and Mordor progression servers based on player feedback, and a new Supporter's Vault is also on sale.

Remember when you first heard that Lord of the Rings Online was shutting down its Angmar and Mordor progression servers? Yeah, that didn't sit well with a lot of players. But SSG listened and canceled the final revision schedule. It's all thanks to the community's backlash.

If you live under a rock (or in Moria), here's the deal: SSG originally planned to wrap up these servers by next year, but players weren't having it. So the studio went back to the drawing board, revised the timeline, and has now posted what they're calling the final revision. It's a bit of a rollercoaster, but it seems to be over now. It's a middle ground that respects both hardcore raiders and casual explorers.

What changed? The new schedule extends some of the major milestones, giving you more time to immerse yourself in the epic storyline and prepare for the large-scale battles. It's not a complete overhaul, but it's enough to make a difference. And honestly, it's good to see the dev team actually listening to the player base instead of sticking to rigid standards.N.

But there's more! Along with this schedule update, SSG also introduced the sale of a new patron's vault. If you're a cosmetics fan or just want to support the game, this vault is packed with goodies that will make your character stand out in Bree. It's a typical cash shop move, but it's optional and helps keep the servers running.

Now, before we dive into the details, remember that this is a live game, so the schedule could change. But for now, it seems the community's voice has been heard. Whether you're a lore junkie or a PvP warrior, there's something to look forward to in the coming months.

So, what do you think about the new schedule? Will you be grabbing that patron's vault, or are you just here for the journey? Let us know in the comments!
