Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have claws that can pierce through anything, including your own skin? Well, Marvel's Wolverine is about to show you, and one of the new claw designs looks like it would hurt just to look at.
Insomniac Games, with the game launching in just a few weeks, has released a new trailer showing off the preorder bonus suits you can equip on Logan. But they're not just good-looking. You can also swap out his iconic adamantium claws for wild alternative designs, including a serrated set like steak knives.
Yes, you read that right. Serrated claws. They look like they came straight out of a Rambo movie, and frankly, they're pretty badass. But let's think realistically. Every time Logan pops those bad boys out, it would feel like thousands of tiny paper cuts. Even with a mutant healing factor, that's painful. On the bright side, you'd never need a bread knife again.
But there's more! The trailer also shows a set of claws with pierced pullers (probably to make them lighter) and another set that tapers into an arrowhead shape. Either way, anyone on the receiving end is in for a world of pain.
Now let's talk about the suits. The trailer introduces some seriously cool outfits, including the practical leather costume from Grant Morrison's New X-Men run, a modernized Age of Apocalypse look, and the Savage suit originally designed by legendary Wolverine artist Adam Kubert. There's also the Night Hunt suit by cover artist Iban Coello, and the Incredible suit, a tribute to Logan's first official appearance in the official prequel comic and The Incredible Hulk #181.
That's a solid lineup of suits, and if Insomniac's Spider-Man games are any indication, there will be plenty more suits to unlock during the main game. There's also a limited-edition PS5 bundle, console cover, and a new DualSense controller inspired by the game if you're looking to buy at launch.
So what do you think? Will you be rocking the serrated claws, or sticking with the classic adamantium? Let us know in the comments!
