Have you ever felt like you were being punished for trying to help? That's exactly where you are in Chapter 1's finale of Where Winds Meet, Dust on the Rhombus Mirror. After the chaos of A Horse Neighs in the Forest, Aunt Han locks you in a room to copy texts. But Ruby won't let you wallow in boredom. She shows up with a message from B. Lend an ear to Gaung, the Sky Merchant, who has proposed a deal for you.

Head outside and have a chat with Ruby. She offers to help you and finish the copying work while you go see what Beard Gaung wants. You can find him just down the stairs from your home. After being kidnapped, his luck has taken a turn for the worse, and all he asks for is a bottle of wine to help him get back on his feet. Give him the wine, and he spills the beans. He met W. While you were traveling with the horse dancer you fought, Oman seems tied to everything that's happening now.

Next, you need to track down Aunt Han. She's in the small house in the center of Blissful Retreat. When you arrive, you overhear her talking with Yi Dao. He's looking for information about Uncle Zhang, who has been missing for years. Yi Dao also drops a bombshell. It seems the extra person who was interested in Aunt Han's love is dead. That makes her storm out, so you can't talk to her. Instead, talk to Yi Dao, but he's also unsatisfied with Aunt Han's words and ignores you before leaving.

Now you realize that hiding won't solve anything. If danger finds you after 16 years, it will find you again. So you decide to leave with Yi Dao. It's time to talk to Ruby again. She asks you to take her to Yi Dao, and since you want to talk to him anyway, you agree. Head to the bamboo forest. You'll fast travel there, so you don't have to walk long.

Yi Dao is resting on an abandoned hut's roof in the bamboo forest. Tell him you want to go to Kaifeng with him. He likes your foolishness and agrees to take you. He comes down, gives Ruby a horse, and says to meet that evening. Ride the new horse with Ruby back to town. Along the way, you explain your plan to leave and ask her to handle things. Goodbye, you're gone. Return to Heaven's Pier, say goodbye to Ruby, then find Doudou by the river near the raft. He remembers his past and plans to find his family, so he leaves immediately.

Now it's time to pack. Go to the hidden room beneath Sweetwine Tower. You need to be level 21 to continue, so make sure you've made a breakthrough. Push open the door of the warehouse building and climb down the ladder to the basement. Your goal is to find the Secret Haven key. Pass through the long corridor and move to the wide room with ropes. Cross the balance carefully. If you fall, you die and have to start over from the beginning. Follow the quest guidance. Climb onto the wooden platform on the floor, jump across the floating walkway, and grab the key hidden in the rocks. Then squeeze through the gap in the wall.

You'll encounter a pulley system. Lower yourself onto the platform and ride it down. Push open the door at the bottom to enter the secret room. Open all the chests to get the loot, then push open the door on the lower floor to come out into the large wine storage area. Turn right, go up the stairs, and pass through the decorated door to reach a decorated corridor. That's where you meet Yi Dao and set off on your journey.
