Have you ever wished you could heal your teammates while dealing damage? In Where Winds Meet, the Panacea Fan lets you do exactly that. This healing fan is a unique martial art that pairs well with almost any weapon thanks to its healing range. But how do you get it, and what makes it so special? Let's break it down.
First, you can get the Panacea Fan early from Qi Sheng around the start of the campaign. He'll ask you to return a Mystic Oddity to him, and once you do, he'll let you choose one of four martial arts. The Panacea Fan is one of them. But here's the catch: you shouldn't use your free choice. Why? Because you can unlock it the normal way, so you might want to save your free pick for something that's hard to get early in the game.
So how do you unlock it the normal way? You need to perform Skill Theft on a target at the Silver Needle Sanctum in Qinghe. That's it. It's just a simple Skill Theft, and the fan is yours.

So what does the Panacea Fan actually do? Like the Soulshade Umbrella, which is its counterpart, it uses a special resource called Dew. Using certain skills builds up Dew, and once you have enough, you can spend it to unleash a Perception skill. This is a special move that replaces your normal martial arts and special skills when available, and it's where the fan really shines.
To keep an eye on your Dew, look at the Dewdrops above the weapon icon in the bottom right of your screen. When it's full, you're ready to unleash some serious healing.
The Panacea Fan isn't good for attacking. It's pretty weak in that department. But the weapon's real strength lies in its area-of-effect healing, which makes it a fantastic support weapon. Paired with a damage-focused weapon, you can keep yourself and your team alive while dealing out pain.

So if you're a support player or just want a safety net, the Panacea Fan is a solid choice. Remember to grab it the normal way if you can, and save your early pick for something rarer.
