Have you ever stared into a cave full of venomous snakes and wondered how you were supposed to get past them and face the boss? That's exactly the situation you'll find yourself in when you confront the Snake Doctor in Where Winds Meet. This world boss is no joke, but with the right strategy you can take him down in no time.
First, you need to find him. The Snake Doctor is in a cave in the Encircling Lake area of the Qinghe region. The entrance is right next to the dirt path leading to the bottom corner of the map. Once inside, you'll need to descend into a room crawling with venomous snakes. Trust me, you don't want to stay there for more than a few seconds, or your health will be ruined. Instead, slide along the left wall and immediately dash into the next corridor. Before the fight, you can find a Hero's Grave where you can heal up.
Now, the Snake Doctor himself. As you'd expect, his danger comes from his snaky friends and their poison. Some of his attacks stack a poison debuff that can rapidly drain your health. The key is to keep pressure on him while staying within melee range. I recommend bringing either the Strategic Sword or the Hell Dual Blades, and it's a good idea to bring the Panacea Fan as your second weapon. The sword's speed is fast enough to land multiple hits while moving, and the fan provides powerful healing that can counter the poison.

Before you start, make sure your gear and martial arts are maxed out for your Solo Mode level. We stopped at Level 4: Roaming and capped everything at Level 40, reaching an average enhancement level of 10. That should be more than enough of an edge.
In the first phase, the Snake Doctor mainly uses melee attacks with a bright red full-body glow. Block these whenever possible to knock down his Qi bar, then use an execution to take a huge chunk of his health. Before finishing his last health bar, use the fan to top up your HP. You'll want to enter phase two at full health.

In phase two, things get worse. He starts relying more on his snakes and throws poison gas bombs that stack the same poison debuff. But here's the trick: if you stick right next to him at melee range, he'll rarely use those attacks. Keep blocking and creating openings as he moves around the cave, and stay glued to him. He will pull away from you once or twice, so be ready to dodge the poison bombs. Once you've got a few poison stacks, pull out the Panacea Fan and drop Cloudburst Healing to heal up the damage.
