Where the Wind Meets: Another New Wing Practice – Chapter 1 Guide

Just got knocked out and robbed? Welcome to Where Winds Meet. After waking up to Ruby's scolding, you'll receive your first big quest, Another New Wing. Let's take a look together.

First, search the area near the Bamboo Dwelling to find clues. Enter the house and obtain the Lattice Door Blueprint, the chest containing the Rider's Gold Mask, and 2 Echo Jades. Then check the broken door on the left. That dragon mark is the clue. Investigating it rewards you with your first real weapon, the Jiang Wulang Old Spear. Equip it and read its origin in the inventory menu.

Next, examine the stone engraved in red by Ruby. It's a Boundary Stone, a fast travel point. Then go back inside and examine the writing on the desk. Wei's letter mentioning the Dream Puppet Calamity opens a hidden compartment. After that, interact with the table in the corner to trigger a cutscene and wrap up Memories Awakened.

Now you need to bring Ruby to the General's Shrine. Find her outside, talk to her, and start walking. Follow the quest marker until you reach the broken bridge. Jump across. At the top of the cliff, you'll meet an archer hunting birds. Talking to him gives you archery tips and teaches you the Still Waters Mystic Skill, which improves your abilities while reducing movement. Practice on the birds, then challenge the shooting contest. Win to earn 8 Echo Jades.

Ruby will run off, and you'll find a Wayfarer by the roadside. Talk to him to get a world map and unlock the Qinghe Exploration meter. Keep an eye out for more Wayfarers later. They unlock new map regions.

Next, the Wayfarer asks you to drive off a bear blocking the path. Follow the marker and observe the bear. The bear knows martial arts! Observing it lets you learn the Tai Chi mystic skill. Use Tai Chi to throw the bear onto the rock beside the tree. This breaks the rock and reveals a chest containing 5 Echo Jades. Then help the person whose head is stuck in a hole – pull him out. He'll give you fire arrows to shoot the beehive the bear wants. Climb the tree, grab the beehive, and bring it back.

After that, you'll choose your first weapon art. Pick from the Panacea Fan, Thundercry Blade, Infernal Twinblades, or Ninefold Umbrella. The fan and umbrella are stylish, versatile options. The blades are simpler and hit harder. There's no wrong choice. They unlock in the skill tree.

Finally, take the Wulin Journal and meet Ruby at the General's Shrine. Follow the markers, fight enemies along the way, and grab chests. This wraps up Another New Wing: Begin The Journey.
