Are you ready for the massive showdown in Chapter 1? The 'For Whom Does He Return' quest is the climax you're aiming for, packed with an intense boss fight that sets the stage for everything to come. Let's break it down step by step.

First, after writing a letter to Han Yimo deciding to leave, head to the ruined temple to meet Yi Dao. He's waiting by the fire above the central courtyard. Talk with him and ask every question you can, especially about Chu. That information will pay off later.

While catching up, trouble breaks out at Blissful Retreat. Intruders sneak in, and after a heated argument with Yi Dao, both of you agree to help. Head back down the cliff, get on his horse, and ride with him. But you'll crash into a bridge. Once you get up, follow the sounds of villagers who need help.

Help the survivors fight off the enemies until the village below is clearly visible. You'll find three areas where enemies are gathered, but since the map is disabled, rely on the quest markers. Together with allies like Du Qiaodian and Yuan Jingang, you'll rescue Song Jiu, Sing Si, and Beard Guang. Free them, then get information about Ruby's location from Beard Guang. FigAfter approaching her, guide everyone to Sweetwine Tower. Expect another ambush along the way. Send Ruby to safety first, then defeat the mob and rescue Yi Dao.

At the tower, Yi Dao explains that the illusion over the village was caused by a 'witch'. Ruby offers to help, but you tell her to stay put. You and Yi Dao fight the next wave outside the tower. This boss fight has two phases. In Phase 1, you fight the witch in her human form with Yi Dao's help. Get close, land heavy weapon attacks, and deflect her scythe to chip away at her health. In Phase 2, you're alone against her monster form. She can stay high in the air and split reality, pulling you between two battlefields.
