How to Heal Yourself in Where Winds Meet

Are you struggling to survive in Where Winds Meet? You are not alone. With tough dungeons and brutal bosses, knowing how to heal is essential. Everything you need to fill up your health bar and keep fighting is right here.

The main way to heal is by using items in your Medicine Box. There is one quick-use slot for medicine, and it has limited uses. Once emptied, you must refill it at a Boundary Stone.

To use medicine, cycle through your Quick Use items by pressing ← or → on a gamepad, or Alt+LMB/RMB on keyboard and mouse, until the medicine is selected. Then press ↑ on a gamepad or X on KBM to use it.

Medicines are one-time consumables, so stock up. You can find them in chests, obtain them as quest rewards, or buy them from merchants. To craft them yourself, open your inventory, press the Craft button (X/ ▢ /R), then go to the Medicine tab.

You start with only one use of the Medicine Box, which isn't much. Upgrade it to get more charges and better effects. You'll need Medicinal Stories, which you can get from quests and encounters. Once you have enough, a message will appear when you open the map. Go to the Evercare Clinic west of Qinghe and talk to Yaoyaoyao to upgrade the Medicine Box.

Food is also a great way to heal. You can try various dishes like Venison Soup and Steamed Fish. You can eat as much as you want, but only one food effect is active at a time. Some foods heal instantly, while others boost your stats for 30 minutes. To cook, gather ingredients and find a cooking stove in a crafting area near a populated area. Activate it to open the Food menu, which includes healing and buff foods. To learn a recipe, select it and read the info under its effects.

The two weapons that can heal you are the Panacea Fan and the Soulshade Umbrella. Their martial arts skills heal you and nearby party members. They use a resource called Dew, generated by using skills. If you have enough, the skill transforms into a Cognition skill that can revive fallen teammates or unleash a big healing burst.

Another way to heal is the Vital Leech Inner Way, found in the Palace of Chronicles. It heals you every time you use an execution skill, which appears after depleting an enemy's Qi (the blue bar below their health).
