1. Early Game: Consecutive Losses on Interest and HP Floors
The core of the Yordle comp is quickly activating 3 Yordle to gain an early advantage using bonus AP and mana regeneration. However, reroll comps are weak early and drain HP, so you need to balance HP and economy well.
At the start, prioritize using Tears or Rods on mana or AP items in your item bench (e.g., Veigar, Tristana). If after the first PvE round you have no 2-star units and few Yordles, consider taking an open fort or loss streak from 2-1 to 2-3 to secure 3-loss interest, while also securing a key item or unit at the 2-4 carousel. During a loss streak, avoid leveling and keep low-quality traits below 5, but always field at least 3 Yordles (e.g., Poppy, Ziggs, Tristana) to activate the trait and minimize HP loss.
Minimum HP: Stay above 70 HP at the end of Stage 2 and above 50 HP at the start of Stage 3. If you drop below that, you have too many losses. If you don't stop and roll to stabilize, you won't have room for mistakes later. During a loss streak, prioritize defensive items on the frontline (e.g., Bramble Vest, Dragon's Claw) to reduce HP loss and save gold for later rolls.
2. When to Slow Roll and When to All-In for 3-Stars

The key to the Yordle reroll is slow rolling at level 6 for 3-stars. This is because the odds for 1-cost and 2-cost units are decent, and you can field an interim board of 3 Yordle + 3 Mage (or 3 Yordle + 2 Gunner). The exact tempo is as follows:
- 3-1: Level to 6 and start slow rolling with 30-50 gold in interest. You should have at least 3 Yordles and 2-3 2-star units. If your board is weak, roll a bit to stabilize, but never drop below 30 gold.
- 3-2 to 4-1: Stay at 6 and roll down to 30-50 gold each round, prioritizing 3-starring Tristana (1-cost) and Ziggs (1-cost), while also collecting Poppy (1-cost) and Veigar (2-cost). If you're short on Veigar, you can chase it later in Stage 4.
- 4-2: If Tristana and Ziggs still aren't 3-star and your HP is below 50, you must all-in before 4-3. Otherwise, you'll fall off.
- 5-1: If your key 3-stars still haven't hit and your HP is critical, all-in without holding interest, because Yordles rely on 3-star quality to stabilize late.
Priority: Tristana > Ziggs > Veigar. Tristana is the main carry with Guinsoo's, Infinity Edge, and Last Whisper (or Giant Slayer). At 3-star, she deals massive damage. Ziggs provides AOE and mana regeneration, making him a strong support at 3-star. Veigar can be a secondary carry if given AP items, but is lower priority.
3. Leveling and Trait Completion After Core 3-Stars

Once Tristana and Ziggs are 3-star, your core is set. Now choose your leveling path based on the lobby. Typically, you go to level 7 at 5-1 or 5-2, and level 8 at 6-1.
- Level 7: Add 5 Yordles (requires a Yordle Emblem or 5 Yordle units) or add 2 Knights/2 Yordles for frontline tanking. If you're short on Yordles, add 2-star high-cost frontline (e.g., Leona, Galio) or crowd control (e.g., Alistar).
- Level 8: Choose based on your emblem and enemy composition. Against physical damage, add 3 Yordles + 2 Mystic (or 4 Mystic) for MR. Against magic, add 2 Knights + 2 Ragewing. If you have a Yordle Emblem, go for 7 Yordles at 8. Damage and survivability improve significantly.
Item distribution: Tristana needs Guinsoo's. Give her damage or sustain items. Veigar or Ziggs gets AP items (Blue Buff, Jeweled Gauntlet, Rabadon's Deathcap). Poppy or the frontline gets tank items (Warmog's, Bramble, Dragon's Claw). Extra damage items go to Lulu or Veigar.
4. Counter Rivals and Speed Up

If you reroll your comp again, you'll make your rivals fear you. When multiple Yordle players or other players are contesting your units, adapt quickly.
- Check the number of rivals: After 2-1, scout other boards. If two or more players are on Yordle, abandon slow rolling and go all-in early. At 3-2, roll down to 0 to hit three-star units. Even if it hurts your economy, you might clash with them later.
- Pivot options: If too many rivals are blocking your Tristana or Ziggs 3-star, pivot at level 6 to Yordle + Mage (Veigar carry) or Yordle + Gunslinger (Lucian carry) to leverage the flexibility of the Yordle trait.
- Speed up: Don't sit on gold alongside your rivals. Roll at 20 gold each round or go all-in to get your three-stars before 4-1, then level up quickly to outpace them in quality. Also, deny your rivals by buying key contested units (e.g., Poppy, Ziggs) even if you don't need them.
- Positioning: When facing rivals, spread out your units to avoid AOE wipeouts. Place your carry in a corner, keep your frontline forward, and protect your backline. If there are assassins, adjust your carry's position so they don't get focused.
In short, when facing rivals, speed up and don't get greedy. Otherwise, both of you will be eliminated. Adjusting your flexibility and roll timing based on HP and unit availability is the key to reroll comps.
